America might be famous for running on coffee but in fact there are several countries that drink much more coffee than the Americans. When it comes to actual coffee consumption per capita, the US doesn’t even crack the top 15. The coffee consumption table is led by the Netherlands with almost 2.5 cups per day/person followed by Finland (1.8) and Sweden (1.4). USA ranks 16th with “just“ 0.9.

Coffee is produced by more than 80 countries, but Brazil is the largest coffee producer in the world. With over 2.5 million tons of coffee produced every year, the Brazilians takes 33% of the world coffee market.
