A Coffee A Day
Annual coffee consumption now approaches 12 billion pounds (at ACoffeeADay we cannot live without at least several ounces each day and think life without would be otherwise drab).
Indeed, we have always been intrigued by the fact that civilization itself seems fueled by coffee.
We set out to find out why this is so. Where and when did it all begin? What are the health benefits and downsides to this highly popular beverage? How can we encourage consumption of organic and fair trade coffee in order to benefit coffee farmers who often live in abject poverty? What coffee farming practices help to protect our fragile environment? What are some of the most efficient coffee machines on the market today?
These are some of the issues we hope to explore at acoffeeaday.
